Message from the Symposium Chairs
On behalf of the Engineering Graduate Student Council (EGSC), we would like to welcome you to the 15th Annual College of Engineering Research Symposium (CERS 2018) , which will be held on April 10th, 2018 in Nittany Lion Inn. CERS is a student-initiated and student-run event that provides a networking opportunity for undergraduate students, graduate students, and industry representatives. CERS 2018 showcases the cutting-edge interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary research that is being conducted at Penn State through paper and poster presentations.
We are pleased to report that the 2017 CERS event featured 49 paper presentations and 54 poster presentations. We also would like to recognize the 52 faculty and research staff and 97 student reviewers. The ‘Art in Science’ competition, motivated by a desire to honor and celebrate the role of aesthetics and visuals in the scientific fields, had its fourth successful year. We look forward to further growth for CERS 2018.
Now we are gearing up for CERS 2018 and looking forward to your participation, sponsorship, attendance. There will also be postings for volunteer jobs including paper and poster reviewers. Please feel free contact CERS chair David Dopfel at firstname.lastname@example.org, CERS co-chairs James Coyne at email@example.com, or Saratu Terreno at firstname.lastname@example.org.
